His greatest influence and inspiration is Vince Guaraldi of Peanuts fame, though other major artists include Ray Charles, McCoy Tyner, and Joe Zawinul. Aside from Universal Rebel, Comack is known to associate with bands such as MurphDog the Cat and No Use For Humans.
